Director

Holds a degree in Social Communications from Universidad Diego Portales (Santiago, Chile) and trained as a filmmaker at CIC Buenos Aires, Argentina. Specializing in nature cinematography, underwater filming, and advanced color grading, he has worked extensively on environmental storytelling.

He directed the documentary and campaign “Chao Pescao, Salvemos Punta de Choros,” which received the Grand Prix in Media and three Gold awards from ACHAP, as well as Best Campaign at the Wave Festival Brazil. From 2010 to 2020, he led the marine conservation audiovisual department at Oceana.

His credits include directing “Mar de Juan Fernández,” cinematography for “Lost Sharks of Easter Island” and “Desventuradas, el Chile Más Salvaje” with National Geographic Pristine Seas, and serving as director of photography and editor on “Los Corales del Caribe Sur” for DW (2021). He also worked on “Chao Carbón” (2022) and filmed for the “Forest” episode of the BBC series “Mammals” (2023).

He is also co-founder of Alianza Mar y Tierra, an NGO dedicated to coral restoration in Costa Rica.

Executive Producer

Between 2001 and 2007, she studied Political Science and International Relations at the University of Trento (Italy), Paris VII (France), and Melbourne (Australia). In 2010, she earned a Master’s degree in Project Management from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain).

She has lived in Costa Rica since 2009, working in project management and knowledge management processes for international organizations and development cooperation agencies.

In 2010, she joined Producciones La Pecera, an audiovisual production company where she works in executive and field production for short, medium-length, and feature documentaries, as well as television spots and awareness campaigns.

Executive Producer

He studied audiovisual production at the National Film and Image Center in Costa Rica and completed his professional internship in Madrid, Spain, through a scholarship from the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).

In 2003, he co-founded Producciones La Pecera, where he produces and directs documentary short and feature-length films, as well as television spots and mass communication campaigns. His first feature documentary, “El codo del diablo” (2014), won Best Central American Documentary at the 14th Ícaro Film Festival, received the National Culture Award in 2015, and was selected for more than 15 international film festivals.

His second feature documentary, “Queremos tanto a Bruno” (2018), was part of the sixth edition of DocTV Latinoamérica. In 2024, he premiered his third feature documentary, “Altamar,” and is currently developing his first fiction feature film, “Dormir en el bosque.”

Field Producer

A Costa Rica and Chile based Field Producer, she plays a role supporting the assistant direction and on-site production during filming. Her work focuses on accompanying the production process in the field, coordinating logistical aspects and working closely with the team to facilitate the development of the shoot.

From this role, she helps maintain the rhythm and organization of filming, supporting the creative team throughout different stages of on-location production.

Executive Director of Artyc Studio, communications strategist, creative director, and film producer.

His work focuses on documentary research exploring socio-environmental conflicts and nature. His projects have contributed to influencing public policy in Chile and promote the conservation of ecosystems and communities.
